What is the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme?

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme is a nonprofit international educational organization that helps develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills of students to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. There are more than 1,139,000 IB students at 3,677 schools in 146 countries.

Both Rockwall High School and Rockwall-Heath High Schools are authorized as IB World Schools and offer the IB Diploma Programme for students in Grades 11 and 12. In the State of Texas, students can receive 24 college credit hours from in-state public universities for successful completion of the IB Diploma.  In Rockwall ISD, all IB courses receive additional weight in the calculation of grade point averages.
