Band Sweepstakes

Get ready to cheer and applaud our Symphonic and Honors Bands! Both have clinched top honors at the UIL contest, and we couldn't be more excited!

Under the guidance of Mr. Gonzales, the Utley Symphonic Band has claimed the prestigious Sweepstakes Award, marking an amazing moment for these students' musical journeys. 

But there's more good news! Led by the exceptional Ms. Granado, the Honors Band has also secured their place in the winner's circle with their own Sweepstakes Trophy. They read an extremely difficult sight reading piece (they get 8 minutes to prepare and perform a piece they have never seen) and still received top ratings from judges!

A huge shout out goes to Mr. Gonzales, Ms. Granado, and every talented musician who contributed to this success. Their passion, hard work, and talent have made Utley proud. Congratulations, Utley Bands – you've hit all the right notes and then some!
